What Food is offered?
There were a couple of yummy food options that were available for TV dinners. "Customers were able to choose among Salisbury steak, meatloaf, fried chicken, or turkey, served with potatoes and bright green peas; special desserts were added later." (Bellis, Mary. "The History of TV Dinners." ) Even though the options were not the biggest variety given, the people of the 1950s were just happy to be able to sit in the comfort of their own home in front of the television while eating a meal that they did not have to cook themselves.
